Rusty July 27th
Just wanted to give you a new picture of Rusty and an update. Rusty and I just completed a 6-week Beginning Agility class. Although he was quite excited in class, it has been fun working on new skills at home. He learns so fast! I think we'll go on to Agility 2 where we get to start working with equipment! Other than that, we've gone on some hikes this year, Rusty even carries his own gear in his backpack. We haven't had much swimming opportunities yet because of the weather, but we're hoping that Rusty will change his mind about water. He still balks at the rain though.
Rusty has become a great companion and he's smart as a whip! SO happy to have him as part of the family.
Update on Fanning (now Echo)
I am back in the states and wanted to give you an update on Echo
(formally known as Fanning). He is a wonderful puppy. He gets along so
well with our other dog. They have become inseparable in this short
time. Echo is smart and sweet. He has adjusted to our environment
perfectly.

Brody (Burrow - Beach litter)
I am emailing you with an update about Brody as well as a few questions.
Brody is an active Toller. He is fitting in perfectly with our family and Copper our 12 year old Beagle. The Beagle has even taught him to “bay”.....it is very cute! We take him to the dog park 4-5 times a week and walk him perfectly off leash. He listens very well and is starting to like the water. We have had him up to his tummy in the water...but he is not swimming as of yet (we are trying). He is a great camping dog. He loves sitting outside with us and he enjoys going for hikes. All of the kids love him and he still manages to find a corner to sleep in during all of the daily noise!
I have attached a few photos too!
Thanks!! Jen Zilcosky
Luna update
Well Luna is doing real good although she is a very slow eater not like the Lab we have, but Jodie and Luna are best friends, Luna went down to the Boat for the first time today , and that went very well, she is not sure about swimming yet but I think Jodie will help her with that. We are going to start some obedience classes this week ( at home ) she is doing very good with socializing .
Sky's Award!
We are proud to announce that Allen Lee's girl "Sky" Tollchester's Looking Up, from the Harmony and MacKay litter achieved two Best Baby Puppy In Show wins last weekend in Victoria. I have attached a picture
Pretty Boy Zeke
Hi Simone,
I just wanted to let you know that Duncan and I will be able to make the BBQ and Sporting Dog Show in July. We're excited to see how Zeke does! Do they have registration forms we need to fill out?
At (almost) 10 months old, Zeke's still a big goofball. Some of his latest activities include chasing and then systematically chewing off the white tip of his tail, sleeping in ridiculous positions (I've included a picture of him doing what we call the Victory Pose), and performing surgery on his squeaky stuffed animals. No fuzzy toy is safe in our house, but occasionally we manage to distract him with a belly rub. He seems to love those almost as much as eating.
We'll see you soon!

Skye litter plans :)
Skye is co-owned with Rory Brown. We are currently starting her health clearances and planning to breed her in 8-9 months. At the top of our stud dog choices we have "Barnaby" Pikkinokka's Stormtide Barnaby. Stay tuned for skye's clearance updates and updates on this potential litter!
Kona Update
Hi Simone and Mum,
Cupid’s first night was good. He slept on the area rug by my husband who slept on the couch. We did not want to leave him by himself, and will sleep with him for the next few nights so he does not feel lonely. He enjoyed his walk last night and this morning, (no accidents in the house yet). He is bit nervous but as you know it will take few more days to settle. He seems to be happy,( his tail wagging) and exploring the house.
We still have not decided on a name, but thinking of Kona

Wendell update
Hi Simone,
How are you doing? I just wanted to send a little update on Wendell. He's doing great, I can't believe that he's almost 1 year old. We just came back from a road trip to Saskatchewan (I've attached some pictures). He's really good in the car but can't wait to run around once he gets out. He definitely doesn't like the heat and always manages to find pools of water to jump into. Even though he looks pretty scrawny, he weighs 45 pounds and seems to be considerably taller than other Tollers that I see around. He's a great pup and everyone adores him. Anyway, I hope all is well.
cheers,
Jill Pringle

Zeke Update
Hi Simone,
I hope all is well in BC. I was looking at your website and noticed that there was a practice dog show for newbies earlier this month, and sadly we already missed it. Do you know of any others that might be coming up in the future? I thought it would be good for us to see what shows are all about before we enter our first official one.
Thanks a lot!
PS, Zeke is doing fabulously and is getting ready to graduate from his second doggie class. Here's a quick picture of him; I was honestly stopped five times today on our walks by people wanting to pet him and commenting on how cute he is. We'll be sending you more pictures after his nine-month birthday. He's such a sweet dog and we're lucky to have him.

Marvel update
Hi Simone,
I'd like to give you some quick updates on Marvel. He is 34 lbs now and looks very handsome. (I took a picture of him with my phone as I'm writing this.)
Our dogwalker takes him and other dogs as a group to the Marymoor off-leash dog park to play and swim for 90 minutes twice a week when we're at work during the day. He has so much fun out of these outings (I'm attaching a picture from his recent trip). He goes with us on drives and walks over the weekends.
We had him neutered last September and he has calmed down a lot since. He loves to cuddle with us on the sofa and loves blankets and soft pillows of all kinds. He is a true techie dog. He loves to paw on the keyboards of my laptops and has typed strings like "qqqqqaaaaaa" in chat windows and address bars. He has successfully popped a key and turned on an Xbox with his nose.
Take care. And we will come to the BBQ/picnic this summer if schedule permits. I'm sure Marvel would be very excited to see his brothers, sisters and various cousins.
Best,
Christine

Brody Update!
Hi Simone,
Here is a quick update. Burrow is doing very well. We are trying on the name “Brody” for the day to see how we all like it. He had a good night. He slept in his crate last night from 11:00 pm – 1:00 am. He then woke up, we took him to go pee (nope) and then back to bed in the crate. It took about 10 min of my husband petting him through the cage and he fell back asleep until 6:15 this morning. He ate well and has gone pee and poo outside :) He really likes our other dog, Copper. Copper is getting used to a puppy, he enjoys jumping on the couch to get away from him...we have not seen any aggressive behaviour so that is perfect.
Angel Update

Ripley Update
Hi Simone:
A quick update to let you know how the "Big Guy" is doing.
He aced his first obedience classes and is on his 3rd set of agility classes where he ranges from very good when Sandie takes him to only so so
when I take him. I guess a lot has to do with the handler eh? I'm going to continue to take him and we hope to start some fun matches in the late Spring.
We have a trainer coming in for a few weeks of private lessons to help us with him and Molly as they really react, and feed off each other, to
neighbours, the post man, etc. They take turns getting each other going and it's gotten a bit too much so we are dealing with it. Other than that he's basically a gentle pussy cat who likes to curl up with
me on the couch or lie in the bed right at my head. He's been really quite good with other dogs and has cut down quite a bit on his need to hump everything in sight !!
His favourite "game" is to play hockey downstairs with Molly and I. They chase pucks around as I shoot them ( the pucks, not the dogs :) ) and they both scream their fool heads off.
He's about 42 lbs now and seems to be stable at that weight. The Vet gave him the full meal deal and other than needing a rabies shot was good to go.He felt Ripley was pretty well at his ideal weight now. The Vet was quite impressed with his gentle demeanor.
We run into Sawyer quite a bit at the Lynn River and have also met Jackson at the Fraser River. Also met Seymour at Barnett Park. He is one of Topper's sons. My Sister breeds Havenese and one of her friends and fellow Havenesersin California owns the infamous "Schooner" who is Molly's Dad and sired a number of Lisa's litters. She was quite interested in Ripley's black nose and said that black is favoured by the judges in California now.
Have attached a couple of pics of "Ripples" for you taken at the cabin.
Cheers,
John

Avvie Update!

Avvie…. Well I know I haven’t been very good with the updates, but truthfully I don’t even know where to start telling you about her. She’s got a huge personality. She always ALWAYS wants to be the boss. She’s so crazy about food, you would think that I never feed her (what a little piglet!). She’s a little social butterfly and always wants to meet everyone and smell everything. She has to be reminded almost every day that no, she can’t pull on her leash and jump on people. The list goes on, this girl needs constant rules and discipline. But she is getting better all the time, and I absolutely adore her and can’t imagine life without her. What a joy she is to have around!
I’m also attaching a picture of her on one of our weekly hikes (that one was in the fall), and one that was taken at daycare a long time ago that just makes me laugh every time I see it.
Hope you’re all well and had a great Christmas and New Years!
Cheers,
Annie & Avvie

Zeke (Valentine) Update
Hi Simone,
I thought we’d give you an update on Zeke, since he’s getting big so quickly! He’s an amazing puppy and we’re completely in love. Attached are two pictures; one right after we brought him home, and another when he was 20 weeks old. He’s adorable, outgoing, and quite the crowd-pleaser. We usually don’t make it more than a few blocks on our walks before someone stops us and asks to pet him and tries to guess what breed he is. So far, we’ve only had two correct answers, but Zeke is loving the attention. He’s also a fuzzy, stuffed-animal eating machine, insatiable cuddler, and challengingly smart.
Thanks again for the marvelous addition to our little family; he’s been everything we hoped for, and we can’t wait to take him on more adventures with us. I can already tell Tollers are addicting; we’ve had so much fun with him that we keep joking about getting another one. Who knows; maybe we’ll be asking you for another little guy (or girl) someday!

Paisley (Aphrodite) Update!
Hi Simone!
Just thought I'd finally get around to sending you some pictures of the puppy we bought from you in September. We've named her Paisley and are having lots of fun with her. She has great energy and is really eager to learn new things. She loves to play fetch and go for walks. She just recently completed an 8 week puppy course and is set to start another set next week.
Hope you had a nice holiday season!

Stan (Apollo) Update!
Hello!
Just wanting to give you an update on how Stanley (Apollo) is doing. Stanley is doing great and is a much loved part of our family. We go on daily walks to the nearby off leash dog trials and he has made tons of new friends. As well, he has his best friend – Winston – whom he loves to play with. The holiday season was wonderful. Stanley had his first swim on Christmas Day after chasing a stick into the water which resulted in a fun (and cold!!) swim! It was unexpected, and since then his love of the water has only grown! North Van also got a bit of snow, and Stanley really enjoyed the brief white ground!
The holidays also brought lots of holiday parties, where Stanley was the center of attention and made to look like one of Santa’s reindeer. He was great around a variety of people and children and was always showing off for pets and cuddles.

Stanley is excelling at puppy class. He has also mastered ‘roll over’, and as the picture attached can attest, will do in anytime he thinks it will result in a treat!
I hope the attached photos show some of the fun we have been having!
All the best,
Alex

Sawyer Update!
Hi Simone!
I just turned 1 year old last week and mom and I agreed that we’d start agility training in the spring to keep me busy! I’m not sure how much I weigh right now and mom’s not sure how to measure me…but last time I was at the vet (at the end of the summer) I was 53lbs and of all the Toller friends I meet, I’m by far the tallest! Mom says she thinks I’m probably almost 60lbs, but you’d never know it! I’m in awesome shape! I think, like my brother Jeep, that we were the big boys in our litter!!!
Say hi to mommy Harmony and daddy Ziggy for me if you get a chance! Happy New Year!
Love, Sawyer
PS – here is a picture of me when I was a “sweet little innocent pup” and a more recent “devilishly handsome” young adult in November.
Sawyer here! I think you called me “Cosmo” when I saw born mom and dad changed my name pretty quick! My mom and dad were apparently obsessed with the TV show Lost last year and thought that I was handsome enough to be called Sawyer J Apparently; he was a rugged handsome fellow with a penchant for being a bit of a badass. They say I’ve got the perfect name!
Mom and dad keep me really busy over here in North Vancouver. We live in a really nice area with lots and lots of hiking trails – and boy do we hike! I get to go for a hike with dad in the morning and then after mom is done teaching she takes me out too! On the weekends we go to the river together and I get to swim to my hearts content. My favourite thing to do there is sticking my face in the water and picking up rocks from the riverbed. I pick the *exact* one I want and then stick my head underwater and get it. Then I take it over to mom and put beside her. She makes sure nobody takes them! Then I go and do it over, and over, and OVER again! Mom shakes her head and rolls her eyes but I think it’s pretty cool.
Dad really loves that I’m so chill in the house. I’m usually so pooped that I just plop right down and sleep when I’m home! Sometimes, if I stare longingly at mom or dad with my head resting in their laps they will usually give in and let me watch TV with them on the couch. I mastered the “sad, puppy face” long ago – suckers! Mom and dad keep me really busy over here in North Vancouver.
